This isn’t just some guy who plopped down a few too many bucks
on bad DV equipment to film his bros. DPC was formed by a group
of people who have a passion for active sports and a desire to spend
more time in the water and on the hill.
The genesis of this venture starts with one David P.
Cervenka (DPC). This crazy Czech spent his younger
years hucking and chucking his ass off anything. Whether he was
blazing the Mammoth downhill or embedding gravel into the bridge
of his nose, this kid was balls out.
Eventually, Cervenka took his passion for gadgetry and and riding
and blended them with his years of experience in fine photography.
He schooled himself in the ways of professional filming and editing.
He’s been out there every chance he gets honing his skills
and spending many sleepless nights mastering the art of editing.
The guy is dedicated and it shows. He has a creative filming style,
always looking for the best shot or a different angle. His editing
brings it all together and give us fresh new look at the sports
and lifestyles we love.

But DPC is not just a one pony show. There’s Chris
Von. He’s been in it since day one. Snowboarder,
wakeboarder, Holby has got a crazy knack for spinning. He’s
the business guy, the manager and the wheeler dealer because every
organization has got to have one and Holby is it.
Holby dedicates his time to digging up talent. We all know who
the good riders are and Holby’s out there showing ‘em
a good time. But it can’t stop there, because tomorrow’s
talent needs to be found today. So our man Holby is in Oakdale checking
out the kids who are doing rail slides behind an old SkiDoo and
he’s in Orlando watching the rich kid with the loaded X-Star
tear it up and sometimes he’s in the clubs finding just the
right ladies for extra video footage. Wherever he is, the man is
doing business in the name of DPC and getting it done.
Then there’s Matt Von der Ahe. This
guy rides. That’s it. Easy going and chill, once he hits the
water, Matt explodes. Matt taught at the Bonifay School in Florida
and competed on the pro circuit. In 2003 he won the Mens II Division
of the Vans Triple Crown of wakeboarding.
Matt’s been the subject of a lot of DPC Films short length
videos (check site for clips), but that’s not nearly the extent
of his contributions to DPC. First of all, he’s boat driver
#1. At a moments notice, Matt throws his Nautique in the water and
is ready to pull anyone. The boat kicks some serious wake and Matt
knows how to control it, getting the most for whoever is behind
the boat. But he’s also the knowledge of DPC. He’s the
mental mojo. If we’re stumped he’s got the answer for
sure. He makes everyone better, in and out of the water.
Creating the latest chapter in the 2005 DPC collaboration is Joe Umali. His arrival on the scene debut with Umali Projects I and II and since then he has risen to new heights releasing videos like the Blacktop Oasis Rail Jam. Because of his commitment, Joe is now also the fearless leader of our Southern California production office.
Joe is the kind of guy that is out the door, gear in hand at a moments notice, and even after spending all day behind the lens... He is still yearning for more! He spends many of sleepless nights in the editing bay fueled by his obsession for perfection, a slight Red Bull addiction, and his girlfriend’s unconditional support. The end result? Sick videos that you will watch over and over again!

Finally the last character of this crew is Shannon Dunn.
Just think of this, if you’re a wee bloke and your parents
give you a name like Shannon Kelly Dunn, you’re going to grow
up a little screwy and a lot creative. That’s just what Mr.
Dunn is to DPC, the creative lemon twist, the poor man’s Picasso.
He’s a little over the edge, rarely wears clothes without
holes, and his major mode of transportation is a Comet longboard
with lime green Kryptonics, but the guy puts the bling-bling on
every DPC production. You can’t put it all in a plain wrapper,
so this graphics guru brands it and makes it look pretty before
we kick it out the door.
That’s the crew. There are other players for sure and we’re
always recruiting more, but the goal is always the same: keep it
true, offer something fresh, and don’t fake it. DPC is dedicated
to putting it all on film and delivering it to you.

Arun Frances – This internationally renowned Photographer brings over 20 years of surfing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, skating, motocross, and bmx-ing into the mix. He first picked up the camera after spending several months away from his favorite sports due to a knee injury. Since then the shutter hasn't stopped!
Between shooting pro tour stops, opening a new board shop (Ohana Boardshop) in the south bay area, being the proud father of baby girl Maleah, maintaining his wakesurfing title, demoing and contributing to the production of up and coming board companies, and spending time with his family, somehow he always has energy to spare, and his passion for extreme sports continues to grow every day. He is an ongoing contributor to Wakeboarding Magazine, Alliance Magazine, Men's Journal, WakeWorld.com, and DPC Films.
Steven Hahn hit the photography scene in 1992 as a young pup in college. After many years of photographing hot models he ventured into the world of Wakeboarding in 2000 to cover the Pro Wakeboard Tour, X-Games, and the Gravity Games. In true Hahn style he didn't stop there... He vowed to capture the lifestyle of wakeboarding by hopping on a $300k bus and traveling cross country with the Mission 2 Ride crew covering 16-states and 27-cities in seven months. Yeah he's a smooth operator who knows how to take pics. Whether it's the Reef models or World Champ Andrew Adkison, Hahn remains cool under the pressure and delivers crisp clean photos that will make you go "ooohhh ahhhhh"
You can check out Hahn's work in magazines like Wakeboarding Magazine, Alliance, and online at Wakeworld.com and DPCFilms.com. If you want to check out more of Hahn's masterpieces or just send him a marriage proposal, please visit his personal website here.
And then there's the intern, the guy working his way in to DPC and spreading the word, Ryan Grandov. He's jotting down the notes, putting the pen to paper, and bringing all sorts of news to everyone listening. He's originally from Northern California but he has to live with less wakeboarding and more beach during the year down in Santa Barbara, where he attends college.
Ryan's using his English and Writing degree to let everyone know where DPC's going next. He'll be writing articles, rider profiles, movie descriptions, and anything else needed for DPCFilms.com. Ryan's been wakeboarding for 3 years and hitting Mammoth and Lake Tahoe since he can remember, with a little rock climbing thrown in when he can. He hits the delta whenever he can behind his 87 malibu, which he swears is a classic. He's helping to bring DPC to the next level; he's getting the name out, preaching the message, screaming on street corners, and showing everybody out there that DPC Films is where the best riding is found on the web.

Every respectable company has an intern, so here's ours! Brittney C. is a fun, outgoing, and down to earth girl who has been wakeboarding and snowboarding for over 3 years. She's easy to get along with, has a good attitude, and enjoys meeting new people.
Don't think this is just your ordinary intern who gets us coffee and sweeps up the place… Britt brings with her book smarts. She's a Senior at San Jose State University and is earning her BA in business administration with a concentration in Business Marketing. With the understanding that marketing adds depth to a company, she's helping DPC Films outline a strategic marketing campaign that will take us to the next level. She's out there at the pro stops, launch ramps, boardshops, you name it! Getting people hyped and helping to make dpcFilms.com the number one provider of extreme action sports videos on the web!!
